Hi

Currently, there is no 11v data present on sh tech wireless/sh run. In general, we avoid client individual values in those files, for scalability and privacy reason

I will check if we can incorporate summary data for analysis. thanks for your suggestion

Hello @Javier Contreras and @Shankar Ramanathan

Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge, we have learned tons about the Wireless TAC tools

Please help us to answer some of the remaining questions of the live session:

  • Can the tool incorporate client RSSI from Apple devices (802.11v data)?

  • When using the Problem Finder, what does the RF Index represent?

Hi

RF Index is an older version of the RF Health. it is a way to highlight APs that have metrics which are a lot worse than other APs around. There is no upper limit, and basically you would use to see if one or more APs have some very high value, when compared to their neighbors, as it would indicate something is wrong

In general, it is better to use the RF Health indicator, as it would highlight "why" something is wrong. RF index is kept for historical reasons

  • How to safely migrate AireOS controller configuration to Cat 9800?

For Catalyst 9800 config migration – Please download the CFG file directly from the tool post-conversion and upload the translated .cfg file to “9800 bootflash:”. Then execute: “copy bootflash: running-config>” on your WLC 9800 for config migration

  • Why am I not getting any migrated config output from the wireless config converter?

For AireOS WLC's please do not confuse "show run-config startup-commands" output with "show run-config". Only"show run-config startup-commands" or TFTP config backup is a supported input format for AireOS migration.

Hi @Javier Contreras and @Shankar Ramanathan we just received this question via email (please help to over)

  • Can we install the debug analyzer locally?

Hello,

Unfortunately no. The only version of debug analyzer available is the cloud version.
