I'm using OpenDNS on my home network. Several categories are blocked, including "Instant Messaging" and "Photo Sharing".
I've noticed, when using the iMessage app on my iPhone, when connected to my home network, attachments such as JPEG and PDF files fail to send. When I disconnect from my home network and use cell service, the attachments send without a problem.
Additionally, when I use the Messages app on my Mac, attachments send without a problem. So the failure to send attachments seems to only be a problem when using the iPhone when it is connected to home network.
Any idea what might be causing the issue? Or how I might troubleshoot it?
Under "Never Block", I have:
apple.com
icloud.com
Any other domains I need to "never block" for iMessage attachments to send from iPhone?

Only Apple knows exactly which domains are used by it's apps.
You'll need to look in your logs and stats to see what domains are being blocked, especially the ones that are listed as blocked because they belong to the "Instant Messaging" and "Photo Sharing" categories. Hopefully when you do that you'll be able to gain some insight in what additional domains you need to unblock to get iMessaging working the way you want it to with your current settings.

Thank you. I've narrowed the blocked category down to "File Storage". Not sure the domain yet, but I'll report back if I figure it out.
