How to filter images on DuckDuckGo

Is there a way to block inappropriate images from showing up on a DuckDuckGo search?  I already have their Safe Search option set to strict, but it's a simple matter of selecting another option from the pull down list.  Is there a way for OpenDNS to block those images and/or to lock strict Safe Search as the only option?  If not, is there another browser I can use that will prevent any inappropriate images from ever appearing?

"Is there a way for OpenDNS to block those images"

Try with adding proxy.duckduckgo.com to your "always block" list.  This is where all the images seem to be hosted on, not only the inappropriate ones.

"...and/or to lock strict Safe Search as the only option?"

Read this: https://duck.co/help/features/safe-search

"If not, is there another browser I can use that will prevent any inappropriate images from ever appearing?"

Thanks!  Adding the proxy.duckduckgo.com to the block list seems to have worked.  Unfortunately, it prevents all images from displaying, but that will have to do for now.  I already read the safe search link you provided and have that enabled.  However, if you simply type what you are searching for in the address bar, it uses the search engine in preferences which is the standard duckduckgo.com URL.  I don't know of a way to set the safe.duckduckgo.com URL as the default search path for Safari or iOS.  It basically gives you 4 options:  Google, Yahoo, Bing, and DuckDuckGo.  If I could figure out how to do that, then it should use safe search for all searches.

"I don't know of a way to set the safe.duckduckgo.com URL as the default search path for Safari or iOS."

You can do this with an own internal DNS server (or your local hosts files) and a mini web server, even for all devices and browsers in your network.

You direct duckduckgo.com and www.duckduckgo.com to your web server which again redirects these requests to safe.duckduckgo.com.

Alternatively, you can do this with an own proxy service where the URL parameter is added as of their Safe Search article.

you have to use ad block extension to disable inappropriate ad's from displaying in your web browser, moreover you could browse in private window to surf anonmously.

Hey troll, he wanted to block images, neither advertisements nor browsing anonymously.

this is where OpenDNS falls short. Have you tried cleanbrowsing dot com? they have a free DNS family filter that automacially locks duckduckgo in safe mode and those nasties dont show up. its also puts youtube google, yahoo and bing automatically in safe mode.

rotblitz is truly a moron. I've read a few of his posts going back to 2015 where he gave some smarmy remark to a guy who only said "I can't imagine schools allowing a search engine that would allow porn images... etc." rotblitz replied "are you a representative of schools or corporations." What an idiot to say such a thing. The guy only said he could imagine schools doing allowing something like that. I can't either. I don't have to be a representative to imagine such a thing. He seems to definitely have some emotional issues and stunted development to be this way. Probably has an inferiority complex and looks for opportunities to put down others.
