I'm using, at home, a Verizon Fios ActionTec M1424wr router and I'm on a wireless connection to the router.
But, I can't figure out how to ad the OpenDNS DNS settings. All of the pages on here about configuring the Actiontec are old and out of date.
I signed up for an OpenDNS account and added the necessary particulars. When clicking the "verify proper configuration" OpenDNS replies that OpenDNS is working.
But, when going to a "primitive site", the site isn't blocked.
I'm not impressed with the results.
Can someone tell me to configure properly?
Thanks,
I can't remember, nor do I care, what my user name is.

If you cannot configure your router with the OpenDNS resolver addresses, you configure them on your devices.

I agree with rotblitz. However I have no idea what you mean by "primitive site". As for your user name, I'm not entirely sure why you mentioned that, but if you don't use your username you can't log into your OpenDNS dashboard, which means you can't control or configure your OpenDNS settings. It's a rather important piece of information to have when it comes to using OpenDNS.

"Primitive site" is a polite word for porn sites.

Well, I'm no tech type and don't want to be. Providing a link and no solution is a waste of my and your time.
OpenDNS is now set up for me and does block immoral sites.
