If we have two 15454 MSTPs DWDM boxes, can the east be configured in one box while the west side is configured in the other box?

In other words can you have

first box with the west config

Slot 1 Line Rx from span fiber

Slot 1 Line Tx to span fiber

second box has the east config

--------------------------------

Slot 17 Line Tx to span fiber

Slot 17 Line Rx from span fiber

In the above case how would we connect both the 15454 MSTPs together?

Yes, this is possible. You connect the express through connections from the east to the west shelf's filters. Also, if OSC is needed, you will need to have OSC-CSM between the East and West shelves.

Thanks for your response. Can you please help in answering the following questions?

Can you connect 6513s or 7613s directly to the 15454 (10Gig) DWDM? What card would that be on 15454 and what interface would that be on 7613?

Is configuring a DWDM interface on 7613 or 6513 similar to configuring a vlan?

How would I have 10 vlans switched onto DWDM inteface?

Would that be GigE over DWDM or would it be IP?
