We've a setup including Nexus 5624Q and Catalyst 2960X-48TD-L (which has 2 SFP+ ports), and breakout cable Cisco QSFP-4X10G-AOC10M was used to connect 5624Q to 2960X's Te1/0/2 port. Appears the cable is not recognized by 2960X, with error messages like:
Jan 13 16:40:24.409: %PHY-4-SFP_PLUS_NOT_SUPPORTED: The SFP PLUS in Te1/0/2 is not supported
Jan 13 16:40:24.409: %PM-4-ERR_DISABLE: gbic-invalid error detected on Te1/0/2, putting Te1/0/2 in err-disable state
And the port status is shown as disabled.
xxx#show interfaces status | include Te
Te1/0/1 connected 1 full 10G SFP-10GBase-AOCxM
Te1/0/2 err-disabled 1 full 10G unknown
Any clue why the module is not detected by 2960X?
The 2960X is flashed with latest stable firmware 15.2.2E3MD (c2960x-universalk9-mz.152-2.E3.bin).

It's because the 2960X platform does not currently support that transceiver type.
Please refer to this compatibility matrix:

Hi,
Did you get a solution to this? I need to connect the same to a Cisco ASA5585/Cisco 3850 SFP+ using the breakout cable from a Nexus 7K.
