Hi everyone,
I need a GigaByte Module (2 GB) that is used for a long distance link connection (SAN).
Do you have the part number of this network module? will glx-sx-mm be appropriate?
thanks

What equipment are you going to be installing the transceiver in?
If it is the MDS 9000, the following document will outline the transceiver options available.

Now I don't know what a 2 GB module is! But you write a partnumber containing 'sx-mm'! If this means multimode, I wouldn't put it in the same line as a 'long distance' communication.

A 2GB module is based on Fiber Channel protocol used for storage networking.
The GLC-SX-MM part number is a 1GB Ethernet, short reach, multimode module... definitely not something I would consider long-reach either!
