Hi,

You will need Cisco 10GBase-SR in the Cisco switch and multimode cable.

Thanks

John

Cisco 10GBase-SR module is the way to go. Just follow the simple rule, use whatever transceiver module that compatible with the device it’s connected to. Could get a Cisco original 10G module or a Cisco compatible 10GBase-SR module from vendors like FS.COM: https://www.fs.com/products/11552.html. The later would hopefully costs 1/10 with equal performance.

The other thing you can do is use a Twinax (direct attach) cable with compatible transceivers on each end. Many times it is cheaper than piecing it together (although piecing it together does have it's advantages).

They are not ALL shown on the site, but we can put together almost any combination of twinax (or components) for you - www.cablesandkits.com.
