7) There is one recommended online training which is free, you might want to go through that once (Explaining Optical Transmission (EOT) Available at no charge through the Cisco Learning Connection )
In Book 1, there are lot of typos, so be careful about that. Also the screenshots are from older version of CTC but the concepts are same.
I found another document on Cisco.com that I found very useful which contains clear screenshots and concise explanation of important concepts, for which I cant find the link right now. If you want that file, email me.
Finally, I strongly suggest you to stick to the syllabus. In syllabus they donot mention about DPT anywhere. (Though I read all the concepts by reading book 1.

One more resource I used, just to see what do they teach in those hands-on training for ONS 15454 and 15216 provisioning was this website. They provide training for this exam. I checked this just to see what all labs they conduct or stress in this class

FINALLY, I have a request to you guys who are already into this industry/ field. Since, I am recent graduate and looking for job, what industry or company should I target/contact for with this certification. I have strong communications background (BSEE, MIS, MSEE) and one year experience in communication related technologies.
