Hello, we have 7 15454s in our network today, 5 in ring id 1 and 4 in ring id 2 (2 are in both rings). Both rings are 2-fiber BLSR. Due to some upcoming changes we need to move away from this 2 ring architecture. Is it possible to merge the rings into 1 ring including all nodes, short of deleting all the circuits, the BLSRs, building new BLSRs and rebuilding the circuits?
Thanks,
Josh

Hello Josh,
Merging is not possible, but you can delete both BLSR rings configuration (BLSR protected circuits will be converted to unprotected) and then create a new BLSR ring including all needed nodes.
Delete BLSR

You can delete the BLSR Configuration on both rings, then ensure that
all circuits are using unique STS's or STM's then recreate the BLSR as a single ring ID with each node having a unique node ID.
