Hello,
I´m using a pair of two C9500-48Y4C running as a SV-cluster.
We are currently running on 16.12.1 and want to connet a N9K-C93180YC-FX3 using QSFP-H40G-CU3M cable.
As i can see from the Optics Compatibility Martrix, it should be supported in 16.12.1!
But our switch says: Transceiver unknown. And it is not shown in the "show inventory"
Any ideas what i can do to use this DAC-Cable?
br,
Martin

First thing are you using uplink Modules is there any other ports in the uplink connection
can you post show interface status (I am more looking at 100/40 ports information)

Hu1/0/49, Hu1/0/50, Hu2/0/49, Hu2/0/50 are configured as uplink in a Port-Channel
Hu1/0/51, Hu1/0/52, Hu2/0/51, Hu2/0/52 is the Stackwise-Virtual-Ling
Hu1/0/49 NEXU_SW-Serv notconnect 1 auto auto unknown
Hu1/0/50 NEXU_SW-Serv connected trunk full 40G QSFP 40GE CSR-S
Hu1/0/51 connected 4094 full 40G QSFP 40GE CSR-S
Hu1/0/52 connected 4094 full 40G QSFP 40GE CSR-S
------
Hu2/0/49 NEXU_SW-Serv connected trunk full 40G QSFP 40GE CSR-S
Hu2/0/50 NEXU_SW-Serv notconnect 1 full 40G unknown
Hu2/0/51 connected 4094 full 40G QSFP 40GE CSR-S
Hu2/0/52 connected 4094 full 40G QSFP 40GE CSR-S
The DAC (QSFP-H40G-CU3M) should be supported since IOS XE 16.8.1
I think the upgrade to 16.12.8 will fix this issue... but the Transceiver-Compatibility-Matrix says, that my DAC sould be supported.

i am sure the 16.12.X code has some bugs, advise you to upgrade to 17.6.4 and test it.
Are you still not sure contacting TAC is a good option?

17.6.X needs a complete reboot of the Stackwise-Virtual cluster.
Thats, why i first want to try the ISSU to 16.12.8, and i think, the first thing, that the TAC-engineer will say is.... please make the upgrade to 16.12.8

Sure you can try 16.12.8, but I see many bugs fixed in 17.6.4 recent my upgrade saw some improvements.

Stop using 16.12.X. Upgrade to 17.6.4.

hmm, that means, that i have to restart the whole BB-Stackwise-virtual at once....
Is there a way to keep the downtime shorter?
