sg200-26 problem with MGBSX1

Hi everyboby,

in the office we have 4 switches SG200-26 all connected ones between them in fiber.

Only one however it has problems with mini-gbic SFP transceiver, if inserted it doesn't ignite any red light.

Can he depend on a hardware problem only or does some confiiguration exist?

I have already tried to replace it with other GBIC that works on other switch but il doesn't change anything.

(...before adjourning to the last firware the red light worked.... i have tried to reload the old fimware but he is not changed anything.)

ALL SWITCHES Firmware Version 1.1.2.0 -

Thanks for the support.

Massimo,

I am not familar with those types of switches but is the port in a no shutdown state? Also you might want to try and physically loop the port back on itself to see if it activiates the port. I have seen on other switches both instances where the port was shut down or a loopback on the port started the laser back up. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Ryan
