You know your requirements and your budget.Difficult to say based on the info of 2 lines which product will fit your requirement. First switch which fits into the above description is 3560E and there are many more .

Check Cisco products page for more info

Have you tried using the following Cisco switch selector..

<http://www.ciscowebtools.com/ProductAdvisor/child/1.0/switches.asp>

It may help narrow things down. Good luck!

You can choose from the Cisco 3560-E, 4900, 4500, and 6500 series switches. That's in order of capability (and cost!), from least to greatest.

The 3560-E and 4900 series are fixed chassis systems (the 4900M is semi-modular) while the 4500 and 6500 series are completely modular - buy the chassis and populate it according to your requirements.

In addition to the references cited above, also refer to the Cisco Products Quick Reference Guide (CPQRG), available at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/qrg/index.html

Hope this helps. Please rate this post if it does.

Hello

It depends to your budget and the number of ports required.

10G-SFP+ are only on Nexus 7000 and 5000 available

10G-X2 ports with more then 2 ports mixed with 1G-SFP are on 6500 with Sup720 and 67XX modules available.

On 3560E-12D are 12 ports 10G-X2 available.

On 3560E-12SD are 2 ports 10G-X2 and 12 ports 1G-SFP available.

With “twingig” converter can 1 port X2-10gig used with 2x 1Gig-SFP
