7940/7960 set VLAN-ID manually

Hi,

I work with CCM 4.0.2SR1a

it is possible to make a cnf-file for 7960 like the procedure of 7912.

I made a cnf-file for 7902/7905/7912 to set the network settings (VLAN-ID) as default settings.

If the phone comes up an connect the tftp-server it load his default-file. afterward it reboots and than it load his "load-file".

I need this if the phone works on other switches as cisco an the cdp isn't work. So i need a procedure to set the phone in the right VLAN without touch the phone.

It works fine with 7902/7905/7912 and ATA.

But i could not found some info about creation of cnf-files for 7960.

Have anybody an idea?

Regards

Armin Kleemann

The SIPDefault.cnf and SIP.cnf files are only allowed to be 5724 bytes. If the file size exceeds this limit, the file download produces the error, which ends up with the given issue. For a workaround, reduce the size of the SIPDefault.cnf and SIP.cnf files to be less than 5724 bytes. This can be done by reducing the comments allowed in the files. To resolve the issue permanently, upgrade the firmware of the phone to version 4.3 and later.
