as5300 for voip

our as5300 was having 4 E1 lines interface to Lucent isdn switch for interconnection in telcos here in the philippines.

We are having 2mbps wan speed from the service provider.

Was it suitable for 2 mbps wan speed from the service provider to full operate our 4 E1's?

Or we need to get a higher bandwidth? How much will be the bandwidth in order to operate our 4 E1's in voice-over-ip

Well, that depends a lot on the following things:

1. voice codec used

2. VAD (voice activity detection) enabled or disabled.
