Bandwidth calculation - very basic question

I've been seeing a number of different bandwidth calculators that are very helpful to determine if you have enough bandwidth per call.

My question is very basic. Are these calculators talking about one-way calls? Do I not have to multiply them by two to determine two-way calls (which is 100% of the time, I presume)?

Hello Satoshi,

WAN links are duplex so a T-1 is 1.544 Mbps gross speed in both directions (same for fractional T-1’s). It is possible that you could have a half-duplex LAN link but if you follow Cisco’s best practices recommendations designing your network all LAN links should be full duplex.

So, you should not have to double the bandwidth requirements.
