I need to change the "location" field for a large number of handsets. All the users are extension mobility users and remain logged in. This field cannot be changed whilst someone is logged into the phone.
Is there someway I can bulk logout all users ? If I set the "Enforce Maximum login time" to a low value (currently not used) would that achieve the affect ? or would that only apply from the next time the user logs in ?

You can make use of the "EM AUTO LOGOUT" to logoff the users.

Changing the max login time will only affect users who log in after that change has been done on CM. There is no way of doing a bulk logout of EM users. However a tool has been developed (not Cisco) that can do a bulk logout for you. If you require more details get in touch as its not a published app.

Hi Daniel
I had the same problem a couple of months ago and had to do it the hard way. Is the tool free?

Unfortunately its not free, a friend of mine developed it, I don't think he charges very much, email him at fertmeola@yahoo.co.uk if you're interested.

I have created a tool too, (flexible in all bulks stuff)
a plugin can be created to do your bulk logout,
all you would need is a list of devicenames
it is not free, but not expensive...
