CCM 3.3.5 SR2.Is there a way to block a user from forwarding their DN to an outside number?Would there have to be some sort of CSS built to stop users from forwarding their phone?Could you also prevent them from going to the CCMUser page and forwarding their phone there?
Thanks in advance

The best approach is using CSS that restric this.
In CCM 4.x we have a parameter called
Block OffNet To OffNet Transfer*
In CCM 4.x we also have under Enterprise Parameters|CCM user
Show Call Forwarding*
Not sure if it exists in 3.X

You can create an internal partition and set the CFwdall to this CSS.

Hi Allan,
Just to add to Gonzalo's post, on CCM 3.3.5, to block users from changing the CFWD from the CCMUser page change the following from the CCM GUI;
System> Enterprise Parameters Configuration> CCMUser Parameters> Show Call Forwarding> False
Also, Chris is correct for limiting CFWD external from the phone itself. If you already have a CSS that allows only Internal calls, apply this CSS against the CFWD ALL portion of the Directory number configuration of the particular Device> Phone. If you don't have this CSS already you will have to set one up.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for everyones input.it looks like I will have to go with the CSS option. We have a group of users who will have the option to call Forward and a much larger group who will not be allowed.
Thanks again!

A thought before trying this.Won't the CSS applied to the device override what is applied at the line level? So the forwarding wil follow the device CSS?

Hi Allan,
This is a completely separate CSS that is applied only for CallForward All. The CSS at the Device or Line level will have no bearing on this setting and vice-versa. This CFWD ALL is applied in the Directory number configuration of the particular Device> Phone down towards the bottom of the page by Call Forward No Answer etc.
Hope this helps!
