call handler caused a call routing loop?

Hi all,

i see the unity ports change from :

1. taking message for subscriber:xxx,

2.to play greeting to goodbye handler,

3. to taking message to example administrator.

and 2 and 3 is always loop. what could be wrong?

the set up is:

when ext (eg. ex1234) busy or not answer, caller has a choice to press 1 to speak to department operator. key 1 is maped to subscriber's call handler (1234ch) owner is example administrator (shall i change to subscriber himself?) , call handler has an alternate greeting enabled. set to blank, supervised transfer the call to operator 222. and after greeting action set to transfer to subscriber's(1234) greeting. if 222 does not answer, caller can leave a message at the ext1234.

BTW ext 1234 is a nortel phone. does it matter?

need help...

The owner of the call handler wont come into play here, so no need to worry about that.

What's the after greeting and after message action for the goodbye call handler? sounds like instead of being set for "hangup" which is what it should be doing it's taking a message or the like... no calls should be coming out of the say goodbye handler unless the caller is actively entering an extension on their own during its greeting...

thanks. you are right.

i noticed that the goodbye call handler's after greeting action is to take message, this caused the problem. right now i changed it to hangup, it is working fine now. thanks again.
