Caller ID in hunt groups?

Hi All,

Anyone know away to transfer the caller ID when u hit a pilot, so the caller ID can transfer between all the members in a hunt list? It doesn’t do this by default, only the first line group in a hunt list can see the caller ID, when it hits the other line groups it shows call coming from Unity.

Hi Noel,

Let us know the exact call flow and also are u talking about Hunt Pilot/ Hunt List / Line Group or Pilot Point / Hunt Group / Hunt Group members of Attendant Console ?

Hi,

I will be on site again next week ... I don't have remote access.

Will be better able to explain then ... I'm not using Attendant Console to do the hunt groups etc ... I'm using CCM to do that.

Hunt pilot, hunt list, line groups , but when a call hits the pilot and first line group, u can see the caller ID, but when it goes through the other line groups u loose the caller ID.

Sorry, I might not be describing the problem very well ... just hitting a few different issues on this CCM install as it's my first one , doesn't help when customer won't provide remote access.

Will update next week.

Tnxs for the input and these forums.

Hi,

My setup is as follows.

Hunt Pilot, Hunt List with 4 line groups in it, Line Group with the phone ext.

When a call hits the hunt pilot and then the hunt list for it, u can see the caller ID on the first linie group, but when it goes through the other line groups u loose the caller ID.

Not sure if CCM supports this or have I done something silly on my side.

Or do I need to set this up on Cisco CM attendant console ... what the pros and cons of using it over route plan hunt groups etc.

Hi Noel,

I dont have access to a 4.1 CM, but I think there might be a service parameter or something for this. Take a look at this parameter in the Hunt Pilot configuration :

Calling Line ID Presentation : Choose Default if you do not want to change calling line ID presentation. Choose Allowed if you want Cisco CallManager to allow the display of the calling number. Choose Restricted if you want Cisco CallManager to block the display of the calling number.
