I'm replacing a legacy PBX with CallManager.
The current setup allows managers DNs to ring on both managers and assistants phone.
When 1 phone call comes in either the assistant or manager will pick up. If the manager picks up the first call and a second call arrives, both phones should still have the option of picking up.
This does not function with shared lines. Shared lines work until the second phone call comes in, at that point only the phone that answered the first call has access to the 2nd call.
Is there a way we can achieve this?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

This is a good one here....
What you probably can do is disable call waiting for the main shared line and have it fwd on busy to another shared line between the 2 phones? It's ugly, but it should do the trick.

or add another line with the same number but in a diferrent partition, and then in the calling search space give highest priority for the first line,

This works and is exactly what I was looking for. Disabling the call waiting was the piece I had missing. Thanks.
