CAS bits manipulation

Hi,

I need to connect a 3620 with a NM-1FE1CE1B module to a Siemens HiCom 300 Series PBX. The use of the 3620 router is as a RAS. My questions are:

- Is there a way to individually manipulate the ABCD bits of the CAS signalling?

- What combination of ABCD bits correspond to each country setting?.

- Which is the recommended type of signalling for the ds0-group provided the PBX supports all types?.

Thank you very much in advance,

Best Regards,

VS

I don't think the NM-1FECE1B supports CAS signalling. Is this going to Be a T1 between the GW and the PBX? If so, you will need to use an NM-HDV-T124.

With the HDV card, yes we can make the CAS bits whatever we want. Under the voice port, you can use the define-tx-bits and define-rx-bits commands to define what you want for idle ans seize patterns.

CAS bits are not assigned by the country setting unless you have an E1 doing R2 signaling. I would use E&M wink unless the PBX supports PRI, then I would use PRI and get rid of the whole CAS part.
