Hello to all gurus!
I have the following prob.
I have designed IP Telephony for a branch with 95 IP Phones based on the 3745 platform with CCME which is clearly stated to support 120 IP phones according to this: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps4625/products_data_sheet09186a00801c6350.html
What I have been told recently by someone in Cisco is that the CCME can not support more than 70-80 IP phones and I should use CCM!! I think this is some sort of mistake from their side or they do not know there own products well... In this specific case CCM is not an appropriate solution as the system will be supported remotely.
Thanks in advance,
Alex

CME 3.1 and 3745 should support 120 IP Phones and there should be no problems if you have the recommended memory of 128MB DRAM and 64 MB Flash. Check this link for further confirmation;

Thanks for the link. It is very clear that it "should" have no problems. And I was very surprised that an engineer from Cisco started pushing me towards CCM instead and insisting that only 70-80 phones would work. Another funny thing she said we must sign the acceptance letter from Cisco that we were "aware & informed" that only 70-80 phones work. That's why I'm writing here maybe someone have tested CCME on 3745 with over 90 phones? I'm working with CCME (ex. Cisco ITS) from version 2 (almost 2 years) and know it is very reliable product in compare with CCM which I run for last 3.5 years now. You can't trade IOS & CLI with W2K and SQL when you do not require that big capacity of phones.

Could you please privately send me the name of the engineer at Cisco that told you this. I need to bring them up to speed on the product as they are a bit mis-informed. We fully support upto 120 phones on CCME on a 3745. In some complicated configs, we may need more memory as you get to the boundary conditions, but there is absolutely no question that we support that number of phones. Thanks Sarat (skhilnan@cisco.com)

In addition, could you also please send me privately the name of the customer? Just for my information. Thanks
