Hi,

We have CCM 4.0(2a)SR1

Problem - CDR report shows outbound calls through a gateway which is configured only for inbound.

Setup -

We have two Cisco routers A & B with 4 E1 ports (2 on each router) configuewd as MGCP gateway on CCM.The two E1 ports on router A is used only for making in bound calls & two E1 port on router B is used for making outboud calls ie..

E1 ports on router B are part of a route group RG1 which inturn is part of a route list RL1.RL1 is attached to a route pattern 9.!#.

E1 ports on router A is not part of any route list & is designed only for inbound calls.

But the CDR report for gateway A shows outbound calls from some internal extension. The outbound number in the CDR is a valid PSTN number.

Using Billing and Meassurement server will help to resolve these issues.

In some cases such as transfer events, an inbound call can get flipped around in CDR to appear as an outbound call. The reason for this is that the transferred party becomes the calling party in the transferred call. A reporting solution needs to track the call flow through the CDR and identify and fix issues such as this. Not sure if that's your problem, but it's one thought...

Check the other fields in the CDR record for that call to see if it was part of a transferred call.

You may want to reference the CDR specifications from Cisco Developer Support if you haven't already, which will help you track these types of issues:
