Changing Unity IP address

Are there any special considerations that need to be taken into account to change the IP address of a Unity server? It is running just voice mail and is not integrating into an e-mail environment. I found the procedure for changing a CallManager IP address on Cisco's Web site but could not find anything for Unity.

Changing the IP address should not cause problems. Changing the servername is another story. Technically, it is still "integrating" with an Exchange server even if it's voice mail only, it's just that it's probably its own Exchange server.

Since this is voice mail only I assume the server is running AD and the same machine is most likely the DNS server for AD. (Of course with this flexibility of the product I could be assuming wrong.)

AD relies on DNS to function correctly so in this scenario the Unity server should point to itself for DNS. It can then have forwarders to other DNS servers for lookups to zones it does not service if you like. So you should make sure to reconfigure network settings for DNS if the Unity server is the DNS server for the AD domain.

Have encountered one problem once! possibly caused by something else ???
(CCM 3.12C)
when we change the IP address on our Publisher and Subsriber
to a different subnet (basic install of CM), the CM service would restart when we activated Multicast MOH - ODD

We started a call with TAC, but decided to re-install using the desired IP scheme and all went well.

May or may not have anything to do with the IP change, but thought I'd pass it on anyway.

Hmmmm... You shouldn't have a problem with the changing for the CM IP address. Here are the steps:
