CME and Translation rules

Hello,

I have CME 3.0 running.I have a phone with extn 4000.I have created two translation rule as follows.

translation-rule 1

rule 1 ^3157324000 2142626000

translation-rule 2

rule 1 ^4002 4003

telephony-service

dial-plan pattern 1 3157324... extn-lengh 4

ephone-dn 1

number 4000

translate calling 1

translate called 2

What is happening is my called translation is working fine.But my calling translation is not working.How ever if I take translate called from the ephone-dn 1 my calling translation seems to work.

Any thought on this will be great.

What is the result deisred by these translation rules, Where is the call coming from and where do you want the translated number to appear.

Hello Taimoor,

This is just a lab environment.I am just testing translate called and calling number in the lab.

I have 4 extn,4000,4001,4002 and 4003.

From 4000 if I make any call my caller-id should display as 2142626000 and if I call 4002 from extn 4000 it should ring on 4003.There may be other ways of doing this.But is this possible by using translate calling and translated called?

The above commands work as desired if only either one is put ie my caller id shows as 2142626000 if I don't have "translate called".
