I was wondering of any one has run into see a message on the 7970's when they first get installed that says CTL file failure..
I am NOT using secire mode.
I am using cm 4.1.3sr3b
If you manually put in a tftp server address it worksand will register otherwise it just sits there trying to register.
SOme 7970's work fine .. All 7960's work

this is normal behavior for 4.13 with CTL not configured in ccmAdmin.
the phone attempts to get a CTL file on boot. since the phones are not configured for CAPF or tokens, there is no CTL file created, hench the phone displays this "no ctl installed" in the status messages.
this is OK and should not create any harm or adverse operation of the phone.

The real issue is he phone will NOT register,
I have to go in to the network settings and set alternae TFTP to yes and then give th eaddress of the pub and all works after that.
Other phones work fine in the area

I would say to check your Option 150 address is pointing to the TFTP server and ensure you have the right phone load in the TFTPPath directory.
