Hi,
I need to upgrade my Unity express box from version 2.1.0 to 2.2.2. I intend to use the clean installation method.
What i need to know is do i need to download only the cue-vm.2.2.2.pkg file alone? (e.g would this file contain an Italian langauge?)or do i also need to down load the cue-vm-installer and the cue-vm-lang file as well. The cisco doc is not too clear on this

Take a look at:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps5520/products_tech_note09186a008064172a.shtml
there is a "required installation files" link.
In the 3rd column of the table, if it mentions "clean" installation method, then you need it (of course, you don't need all the languages, only the one you plan on using--which should match what you backed up if you plan on restoring).
If that still isn't clear, please post what the confusion is so I can make sure the document is addressed (and, of course, your question gets answered).

Marschne,
Thanks for your input.
All i want to do is to change the language from English to Itallian.
The Cisco docs advise a clean install to do this.
My confusion arrives when it specifies that i need to make sure i install to the previous language before i change to the language i want. How??????

Oh, so the goal is to change the language of an existing system (while keeping all voicemail messages and such)? That same doc has some information about that. See:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps5520/products_tech_note09186a008064172a.shtml#qa1
You just need to install the language you want. Then you have to do the restore. Just watch out for the caveats mentioned in the paper.
