When deploying multiple web bridges Cisco recommends three methods of preventing calls from dropping if WebRTC clients rehome to different web bridges:
- Deploy Expressway for external access and use the Expressway CMS WebRTC proxy to load balance across the Web Bridges.
- Use either GeoDNS or IP address hashing to select the IP address the DNS will return.
- Use the CMS Load Balancer component. But with this solution, you then have the problem of deploying multiple Load Balancers.
I understand the concept of IP address hashing to ensure that the same CMS server address is always returned but I can't find any information on how to configure this. Is this a feature a Microsoft DNS server can provide or is it something that a public DNS service provider would offer?
Do you use the same process to allow clients to discover multiple load balancers as you would to deploy multiple web bridges?
Thanks,
