Does Cisco have a definitive statement on where the DHCP server should be for AVVID IP Phones.

I would not use a customers and in the past have used the Call Manager Server for this purpose.

Are there any issues in using the CM for DHCP? I am looking to this in larger deployments (1000----10000)

we kept the callmanager-installation totally inside of vlan 2 and configured this vlan everywhere on the switches. then you can use the callmanagers dhcp without a problem.

on outside-gateways ( eg. pix 501 ) all you have to to is to configure dhcp-option 150, and thats it.
