Hello Forum

Just a question on DMS.

If we were to enable our company to view live meetings or seminars etc. Would we need to have two seperate servers to be able to communiate or is it possible to use one centralised server and mutilpe DMPs connected to that one source?

I mean this in terms of a meeting occuring in one country and then being viewed in another.

The server I presume that would be needed is MCS-7835H3-DMS. Is that correct?

Thx

J

J,

This is kinda of a loaded question to be discussed in this forum.  You should really contact your

local Cisco Account Team or SE for more detailed design and information on your scenario.

That said,

Things you need to consider:

* What is the connectivity between the n + 1 sites?  Is it over the internet, VPN,

  Satellite etc....

* What is the bandwidth between the sites?

* What is the Video Quality expectations for each venue? (HD, SD, etc...)

* What is the expected delivery system?  ie. Digital Signs or Show and Share (web browser)

Questions like these need to be answered and talked about before looking at a

possible solution.  Multiple Servers may be needed in the headend, encoders, content delivery

solutions, etc...  there are a lot of different components that may be needed based

on requirements and expectations...

Sorry to be vague but as noted above, there is no simple answer.

Cheers!

T.
