Hi:

I have a centralized call mgr (4.0) with ip phones at a remote site The remote site has a 2651xm pri gateway. The 2651 has a nm-hd-2ve module with 1 mft-t1.

I've been told that I can use the spare dsp's in the 2651 as a conference resource for the remote ip phones.

Does anyone know how to configure the 2651 & cm to do this?

thanks

Rob

What PVDM2 chip do you have ? Note that PVDM2-8 does not support conferencing. Check this link to find out how to do conferencing based on PVDM2 on NM-HDV2.

Hope that helps!

Looks like just what I need.

How can I tell which PVDM I have in router?

Thanks a lot.

Rob

I answered a similar question in detail in another post:

You don't have any PVDM's installed in the router. The NM-HD-2VE has a single DSP soldered on the motherboard without any PVDM slots.

You can use one of the following commands to determine the DSPs installed in your router (depending on IOS version):

sh platform

sh diag

sh voice dsp

sh voice dsp detail

sh call resource voice stats

Hope this helps...
