We want to connetct a PTT system through Cisco routers via E&M interfaces. we use type 5 4 wires in one system, and 2 wires in the other as followed:
PTT <--E&M-->Cisco Router1 <--Ethernet--> Cisco Router2 <--E&M--> PTT.
All devices acts as signaling units. the PTT connected to Router1 signals off hook by M (or E, we can change it by wiring) lead connected to ground. we want Router2 receive this signaling via the Ethernet and connect E (or M) lead continuesly to ground, signaling the PTT off hook. when PTT in router1 disconnect ground, Router2 will disconnect ground. This way we will avoid ringing to the other side. it can be an 17XX router, or 26XX, with the IOS release & feature set required, We will be happy to receive some information regarding the configuration of both routers.
