I have a CCM 3.3(4) server that is logging the following error about once every other second:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Cisco CallManager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 3
Date: 12/23/2004
Time: 12:12:31 PM
User: N/A
Computer: CCMP-71037413
Description:
Error: DeviceTransientConnection - Transient connection attempt.
Connecting Port: 2000
Device name [Optional].:
Device IP address.: 206.94.117.75
Device type. [Optional]: 255
Reason Code [Optional].: 6
App ID: Cisco CallManager
Cluster ID: StandAloneCluster
Node ID: 206.94.117.65
Explanation: A connection was established and immediately dropped before completing registration. Incomplete registration may indicate a device is rehoming in the middle of registration. The alarm could also indicate a device misconfiguration, database error, or an illegal/unknown device trying to attempt a connection.
Recommended Action: No action is required if this event was issued as a result of a normal device rehome..
This device is a VG 248. We're having some other issues with remote stores as well like some phones being not registered, some are, and some are simply not found.
Can anyone provide some direction of where to start?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Neil
