General Network Design using HSRP

Hi,

I have a question regarding HSRP on Voice gateways.

I have two 2620 XM with ISDN PRI connected to both of them 30 channels on one and 20 channels on the other.They are both also used for DHCP and VLAN routing.

i have the Callmanagers and Phones in one vlan and a Windows2000 Server using TAPI based application in the data vlan.

If the primary gateway (2620XM) fails i loose communication between the TAPI server and the callmanagers as you would expect.

I want to provide a seemless fallover if one of the 2620XM fails and would like to use HSRP but i can't find any information on whether this works on Voice gateways i.e i have different channels available on each etc so how does callmanager know where to place the call etc.

Any advice would be appreciated

You can configure HSRP in the routers and for Callmanager failover you can use SRST .
