During some fault finding on an SPE 300 I disabled the LAN interface from within Win2K. Upon trying to enable the interface the Win2k hung then went BSOD.
I tried to uninstall then reinstall the LAN adaptor in Win2k but as soon as it rediscovered the device it hung again. Has anybody seen this before and if so is there any way around this problem?
Strange! I uninstalled the network adaptor, then rediscovered it. I got a BSOD as it tried to enable it. When it reloaded all was fine, the LAN was enabled and working.
Moral: Do not disable the Network Adaptor on SPE310 cards in the ICS7750!
