Integration between Call Manager Express and Nortel BCM

What type of integration is there between a BCM 1000 or 50 and CME and Unity Express? Can we setup 4 digit dialing using h.323? We are placing a CME router at a remote site that is connected via PPP T1 into the main office which has a Nortel BCM 1000 running 3.6.

Before doing the following tasks to integrate Cisco Unity with the Nortel Meridian/PBXLink phone system, confirm that the Cisco Unity server is ready for the integration by completing the applicable tasks in the applicable Cisco Unity installation guide.

We were able to get this setup with the assistance of Nortel. Here are the requirements on the BCM in addition to the configurations for CME (probably similar for CM).

In a nutshell you need at least 3.6 running on the BCM

Nortel BCM 1000 attributes:

BCM 3.6 2.2c

Load these patches in order on the BCM

BCM_360[1].236_FEPS.33.371600.exe

BCM_360[1].259_CUMULATIVE.99.3.exe

BCM_360[1].252_CORE.08.0621.exe

Make sure calls are made through destinations codes and not access codes Under destination codes absorbed all Enable H245 Disable and enable the H323 VoIP gateway

Cisco IOS version 12.4.4XC using CME 4.0.1 Ensure voice service's on the router are as follows:

voice call send-alert
