TC8.x is what the hold up is.  Was due out way earlier in the year, but "it ain't done until it's done".  As soon as that drops, we'll have that along with some other goodies.  I'm guessing they also may have been waiting on the stuff announced today.

I am running CE8.1.0 on an SX10 and Proximity is running great. The frame rate looks like 5-10fps, so I wouldn't expect fluid 30fps.
