Hi, we have a Cisco Ip Phone 7970 and i wish this phone work with a Expansion module 7914, i see a documentation a appear this is planned, my question is can the 7970 work with 7914?, mi CCM version is 3.3(4) thank you very much.

The newly released 7.0(1) phone load for the 7970 supports the 7914. Not sure what CCM version you need, but it should be in the release notes for the phone load.

Hi, yes i install a new firmware for 7970 in the CCM and now both 7970+7914 work fine.
the firmware is 7.0.1

I Also upgraded firmware to 7.0.1, still it dosn't show up in add remove speed dial.
I'm running 4.1.3sr1.
How ver of CCM you running ?

I dont know why this thread was dead. I faced the same problem. Even after installing the latest firmware of 7970(8.0.2)and 7914 (5.0.1), configured phone with exp. module, with the new firmware, phone itself actually detects the module - but 'add speed dial' were not showing up the option to add speed dials on module.
i couldn't find a solution in Cisco TAC case history, nor a documentation avaialable. So here is how i solved this.
After installing right firmwares, created a new standard phone button template with 22 (8+14) buttons, named ' standard 7970 w-exp module', then configured the particular 7970 phone to use that button template. thats it, speed dials are appearing in the module display.
Please give it a try. My ccm is 4.1
