Hi
Is there a procedure to backup/restore speed dials (personal phonebook) build in the assistant console of IPMA.
I tried to find where this data is stored; it?s not local on the assistant PC.
Is it stored in DC-Directory???
And if yes
I know DC-directory backup is done via BARS but BARS doesn?t provide an option restore the huge personal books on a per user basis, it?s a system restore

Cisco Tomcat loads the Cisco IP Manager Service (IPMA), a servlet. Cisco Tomcat runs as an NT service that is installed and started at Cisco CallManager installation. For more information:

Hi Gerrit,
In order to find a way to back up this information for the IPMA Assistance console Speed Dials, the Speed Dials are stored under DC Directory CCN->user_info->assistant_info->MA node in a binary blob (Serivce/Device) format for an individual assistant.
IPMA don't have mechanism to copy over these speed dial details to another assistant.
At Program Files/Cisco/IPMA/Data , you can find a XML file that contains the information
for this particular PC IPMA Assistance console this file may help you to achieve the back up task.
Unfortunately there is no tool that we can use to back up the IPMA Assistance Console,
I hope this is not causing any inconvenience and provided information helps

Hi Gogasca,
Do you know where the IPMA personal address is storage on CUCM 6.1 ?
Is it storage on local PC where IPMA application was installed ?

Evandro
