Hi,

Is there a way for a Line Number not being displayed on the LCD Screen of an IP Phone?

Arvin,

You can replace it with text if you like (on the callmanager 3.2), on the Directory Number Configuration page there is Line Text Label field.

Yes - it was new in 3.2 - it's not in the 3.1x line.

I wouldn't upgrade just for that though - 3.3 is right around the corner and would be a far better investment of your upgrade time (and you'll get line text to boot :-)

Let me disagree with you. If they have a production system i would rather prefer 3.2 at the moment as 3.3 is

a. reinstall from scratch

b.full of new bugs as every new release and you have to wait a couple of months for 3.3 (3...)spYOUNAMEIT which appears to be stable.

c. my understanding is it's not really downloadable and there is a new licensing mode for number of supported divices ,and the software price will vary as well.

Of course if that's just a pilot or the feature isn't critical i wouldn't upgrade just for that either.
