Hello,
I'm encountering an voice call problem between C2801 and Nortel PABX.
All the outgoing call failed when it's on channel 16 from 0.
Is there something I miss out in configuration.
I tried both qsig and net5 switch type in cisco router.
Please see the attachment for the configurations.
I'll upload the q931 debug later.
thanks in advance

The Cisco config looks fine - I believe its related to the signalling channel and 'tie' configuration on the nortel pabx -
I have passed the config onto a nortel engineer here - I will let you know how he gets on.

Ok,
I have got feedback from the PABX guys, he thinks that the config looks fine.
I would recommend you wind it back to 16 channels - I think the problem is related to PVDMs or perhaps a lack of them in the 2801
- do you only have a PVDM 8 or PVDM 16 in there ??
We used a 2811 with a PVDM 64 to get ours working.
Normally 16 channels is more than enough for this type of interconnect - you will need to update the nortel.
On the cisco side

hi
We are sing WIC card and according "show inventory" , it has two PVDM2-16 which should support 16 per each module.
PID: VWIC-1MFT-E1= , VID: 1.0, SN: 34814364
NAME: "PVDMII DSP SIMM with one DSP", DESCR: "PVDMII DSP SIMM with one DSP"
PID: PVDM2-16 , VID: V01 , SN: FOC12340BEW
NAME: "PVDMII DSP SIMM with one DSP", DESCR: "PVDMII DSP SIMM with one DSP"
PID: PVDM2-16 , VID: NA , SN: FOC092823J8
what should we need to update in Nortel if we roll back to 16 channel ?
regards
YLT

Unfortunately my NORTEL guy is gone home now - I will ask him for the config tomorrow morning and post the update for you.
I think it is worth a try - at least get it working and keep pushing it out until it breaks - at least then you know what the max channels supported is.

Actually it's working for upper channel 30-17 when i put " isdn bchan-number-order descending" command under serial interface.

Its weird that it happens when you hit channel 16, thats where the signalling is but if the signalling was wrong nothing would work!

yes i already changed WIC card and it's still the same
