Hi all.
We are studying an IP Phones solution with Call Manager 4.1.
We want to start with 1000 user licences, but MCS7825 is not what we want, because it doesn't have SCSI disks and, if we want to upgrade to 5000 licences, we must change hardware.
So, we want to buy 7845 and install on it CM with 1000 users licences; in this way we have hardware for 5000 yet and, tomorrow, we need only to upgrade software.
Is it possible a configuration like this?
Thanks
Daniele

I dont think there is a 1000 user license available for the 7845. When you buy the software for Callmanager, part number - CM4.0-K9-7845= Thie software piece is CM 4.0 software with 5000 licenses . So I dont think you can break it up.

My opinion this is a mistake on Cisco's part. They penalize you for wanting better hardware (SCSI vs SATA)

It's also my opinion.
We want 7845 for SCSI disks, but there is only 5000 user licences code.
Is there a way for understand how obtain this?
