the move subscriber utility seems to work as advertise, and is quick. i can see the changes in the exchange mailbox attributes. but how do i get unity to see the changes without restarting unity? vm is still deposited in the source mailbox.

I think if you force a cache sync from DOHPropTest it'll do this for you... actually waiting 10 minutes should do it as well. If not, open up DOHPropTest with the "-a" command line parameter (for "attached"), enter with no passoword (just read only for this) and select the cache sync button which should force a refresh.

If not, there's something else afoot...

something else is afoot....ran the dohproptest -a. vm still going to source box. did notice that name and greetings didnt migrate and that the source call handler remained in the unity call handler folder and couldnt find a call handler for the target. lots of red stops in eventviewer with event id of 10002, avConnMsg related to source call handler....i have to move 300 subscriber to different mailboxes and not too excited about the manual method ;-)

hmmm... not sure what would be going on. The move utility is pretty straight forward. Did you try restarting Unity and it's still complaining? If so, if you can get WTS access into that box, ping me at my corporate email, I can try to poke in there and see what's going on.

For the folks playing along at home, we worked on this today and ran down the issue. Turned out to be a cache synch timing issue (i.e. I'd write a value to the directory that the DOH cache would then write over behind me). Made a few minor changes to the move subscriber data tool and will post an updated version to AnswerMonkey later today.

For the record, the 3.x version of this tool will be posted on AnswerMonkey within a few weeks... got a couple emails on that one...
