Check this bug: CSCec10776

Try an upgrade of the router if possible.

hi,

the bug is about 3600 series. mine is 1760V. My IOS version is 12.3.4T. which version should the IOS be upgraded to, in order to solve the problem ?

thanks

-santo-

I had the issue with a 2620 FXO connecting to PSTN. If 2 or 3 calls come through it, it hangs up, and I had to shut/no shut that. I upgraded it to 12.3(2)T5 which solved my problem.

Again, a upgrade might not solve your problem, but it is worth trying at this point after you have tried all docs from Cisco. Try the latest 12.3(4)T4 or 12.3(7)T

Thanks,

Partha

hi,

have tried to upgrade to both version. I got the same things. any other ways ?

thanks alot

I presume you are connecting to the station ports on the Toshiba... Does it do CPC "calling party control" to indicate that the caller has hungup?

Our Panasonic PBX's do not...

Hi,

actually I am not so familiar about ke phone system/pbx. My Toshiba is a key phone system, is not PBX.

Thanks

-santo-

I have the same problem about FXO disconnection with Panasonic PBX.

can you tell me how u solved the problem and your IOS version?

hi,

i didn't have any luck...have tried to change many IOSes and configurations....but no clue...it's NOT working...i changed to FXS and looks fine

Here is a tech note about FXO disconnect supervision problems, you have scenario 3 from their examples, which they describe as 'the worst possible'

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/tech/tk652/tk653/technologies_tech_note09186a00800ae2d1.shtml

We have had lots of issues with these, with FXO ports connected to the PSTN - if calls come in and get sent to Unity vmail, when the PSTN caller hangs up, there is no way to tell that to Unity, so it records until it times out, and then hangs up, so ports stay engaged at least that long, and then sometimes hang after that, need to reset port to clear. So, if we are ever taking incoming calls on FXO ports, we always order ground start circuits now, and set up disconnect supervision. We just won't install FXO to FXO scenarios, almost sure to be trouble, unless they absolutely know they have disconnect supervision capability.
