New Publisher & Upgrade Cluster to CCM 4.0(2a)

I have a new Cisco Call Manager Server and I would like to replace my Publisher and upgrade my Cluster from CCM 3.3(4) sr1 to 4.0(2).

Can anyone give me their Lessons Learned from their experience? My thought is to build the new publisher and use the BARS Backup on the new server and get the publisher all up and running. Then I guess I will have to go around to my subscribers and rebuild them.

Any pointer/help would be greatly appreciated.

My experience is that BARS will only restore to the exact same version of CallMAnager (same IP and hostname too).

I would make sure you have an image of all servers first. Then run the upgrade on the publisher, reboot, then upgrade each subscriber and reboot.

Well that makes since about BARS, but I am trying to replace the publisher with a new server also.
