I have a Call Manager 3.1(3A) Service Pack D. The problem is when a Ip Phone user dials an outside PSTN number, If the number is Busy, the Ip Ohone user hears a message "You must now dial the area code when calling this number" INSTEAD OF a Busy tone. The circuit is a PRI through a VG200 (H323).
Someone told me there was a parameter in the Call Manger Service Wide Parameters. Can anyone help here ? Thanks

do you get this message everytime you try and call these numbers, as it sounds like a telco problem. what has possibly happened is that the telco has changed their dialing codes and to be able to dial the numbers you have to add in the area code. you can do this for the users by getting the call manager to add the area codes to the numbers that the users dial. (the reason i say this is that you are getting a recorded msg from the telco and not the call manager)
hope this helps

Thanks for your Reply David. I found the problem, This is an interesting one, but the solution is:
To solve the issue of hearing the recording from telco when dialing a busy number you need to change in Call Manager Service Parameters stop routing on busy flag and set to true
Cheers
