Operator code "0"

Hi all,

We plan to install a centralized CCM cluster at our company. I did some readings about Cisco CallManager but there is something I'm not quite sure how to do it ? for instance, we will have CCM at our central site plus SRST gateways at 2 remote locations. Each site, including central, should have their own operator using code "0" so if at one of the sites people hit "0" then they should be talking to their local operator. How does it work in CCM config ? Thank you very much.

hi

The simplest way to allow dialling 0 to get the operator is to put in a translation pattern that matches 0 and translates to the actual number of the operators extension.

Just remember not to use any other numbers that start with 0 or you will come unstuck.

To extend this to allow two sites to each dial 0 but get their own operator you need to give users a Site A a CSS that includes a partition that contains a translation pattern that translates 0 to Site A Operator extension.

Site B should have a different CSS that includes a partition that contains a trans pattern that translates 0 to Site B operator.

The exact config of your partitions and CSSs will depend on what else you want in your dial plan..
