Hi Jeff,<br> Just wondering if you have any knowledge of this one. The last two customers I upgraded from 2.3 no faxing to 2.4.0.120 with Active Fax, there are some 95 or 98 machines that get an error message from word or excel stating that windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup. Then it says to try re-installing the print drivers (did it) or printing a test page. I have submitted this as a service call that Randy Pierce and Interstar is working on. This has happened on the last 2 upgrades. The second issue is any outbound faxes via Outlook come back with a Exchange Admin error stating teh recipient name is not recognized. The MTS-ID of the original message is: c=US;a= ;p=Minnesota Masoni;I=MMHEXCHANGE-001030152439Z-26974 MSEXCH:MSExchangeMTA:MMH:MMHEXCHANGE <br><br><br>

Sounds like the Print to Mail driver didnt get installed properly on some of your boxes (Im assuming some clients are working?). Installation of the PTE driver is pretty straight forward and is done automatically by VMO in silent mode. You can install the PTE directly off the Unity CD (in chatty mode) and see if it kicks up an error. You can find this on Disk 3 under \Fax\LFSetup\ENU_\Windows\FaxToMail\Setup.exe. You should, by the way, reboot after installing this before testing it. Im sure Randy will have you do this anyway...
The other thing I've seen here is if the boxes have no printers installed, the PTE driver will sometimes fail since it's assuming some DLLs are on the system that are not. You can try installing the Microsoft default printer on one of these boxes which does fix that problem... doesn't sound like that's the case, however.
The second problem sound like the fax gateway didnt get installed for some reason. If you address something to [FAX:Name@12343] the fax server should get it. If Exchange doesnt recognize FAX as a message type, the gateway didnt register to handle those messages. If you look in the Exchange Administrator under the configuration\connections container, you should see a fax gateway there. If not, something went bad with the fax install that we need to look at.
