I have a 1760 with FXO ports on it connected to an overhead paging system. I can call the paging system okay, but can only pass a short tone when a key is pressed on an IP Phone. The caller hears a long tone, but the paging system only get s short tone. Need a long tone for emergenecy notification. Anyone have this working. The 1760 is using MGCP from CM for config.

Long Dtmf tones can be configured for endpoints when running with H.323 and not with MGCP. Configure the long dtmf tones on the CallManager by changing the default settings of the CallManager Service parameter, ' H225 DTMF Duration' to the required. Ensure that the H225 dtmf duration should not exceed three packet arrival times. This configuration should be made under the instructions of a Cisco support engineer. It could lead to problems sometimes. Please refer to the RFC2833 for more details.
